Frog, Gecko & Penguin

I’m practicing playing keyboard and Roland SPD-s together. This is the best I can so far. The song is called ‘Frog, Gecko & Penguin’.

New ’song’

A few weeks ago I used my microphone on my mp3player to record my three minute walk from the train to my bike. During those three minutes I recorded people walking in a tunnel ( including a cello player and someone whistling ), a bus driving by, a guy closing a car door and myself walking through a bunch of leaves on the ground.

At home I put everything together in this rhythmic, industrial, drone, experimental thing:

The song is called ‘Tunnel’ and is added to my playlist on the left as well.

Todays Art 2008

Let’s just link to Michael’s post about Todays Art 2008. He has a nice story. Don’t want to waste my time writing something worse.

I was there with him and Jeffrey.

Zambezi Drive – Park

Just wanted to tell you that Zambezi Drive’s first EP is online at Myspace and Hyves.

Also, expect it to be streamable in a few days on our website.

Leaving First Act

For the last two years (rough estimation), I played the drums in First Act. This week I decided to quit. I feel very sorry towards the band, I had a great time with them, musically and socially.

It’s good to see that lead singer Jim Offerman is not giving up on the band.

He even braved one of his biggest fears!

I hope they will find a new drummer soon! If you are a drummer and you like the music of First Act, don’t hesitate to drop them a line!

In the studio with Jorge Natalin

For the EP of Jorge Natalin, Klaas de Jong and I had do drop some freight train beats in a recording studio in Amsterdam. Arno made a video of one of the recording sessions. Check it out on Jorge Natalin’s Myspace.

I’m the guy on the right.
