Typing notices with Irssi and BitlBee are not only for BitlBee anymore! “This script”:/Projects/Irssi-BitlBee/typing_notice.pl allows you to send and receive typing notices in IRC queries. The script auto detects users who are able to receive those typing notices. Sending and receiving notices with BitlBee is still possible with this script!
To use this Irssi script, follow these steps:
* Download “typing_notice.pl (version 1.9.1),”:/Projects/Irssi-BitlBee/typing_notice.pl and put it in ~/irssi/scripts/
* Unload “bitlbee_typing_notice.pl”.
* Load “typing_notice.pl”
* If the typing_notice item is not added to the statusbar yet, add it with: /statusbar window add typing_notice
* You can send and receive typing notices on BitlBee and IRC (queries only) now!
* You can test it by talking to me. My nickname is ‘timing’ on both FreeNode and OFTC. I prefer OFTC.
With all these new testers I hope to reach now, updates might be more frequent.

I just want to make music without someone else restricting _MY_ listeners.
I just want everybody to be able to listen to my music in a free way (as in speech).
I just want to listen to music with whatever device I use. I don’t mind paying for good music. Listening to good music inspires me to make music. Note the circle of music here.

Sorry als deze mail een beetje geirriteerd klinkt. Maar ik kreeg even de drang om allemaal vragen die bij mij opkwamen neer te zetten.
Mijn band (”http://jimoffermanband.com”:http://jimoffermanband.com) verkoopt cdtjes bij optredens. Deze cdtjes worden inderdaad gecopyeerd op mp3spelers oid. Dit weet ik omdat ik mensen ken die onze cd hebben . Helaas staan onze nummers niet geregistreerd bij Buma Stemra (Wel bij Sena). Maar stel dat we wel bij Buma Stemra ingeschreven staan?
Hoe wordt bepaald wanneer een band geld krijgt? Op basis van wat?
Want jullie kunnen dan wel geld binnen halen, maar er kan toch helemaal niet gecontroleerd worden welke bands meer worden gecopyeerd dan andere? Merken bands die ingeschreven staan dat ze meer geld ontvangen voor de muziek die ze maken sinds jullie actief zijn?
Misschien vinden bands het nieteens erg dat hun muziek verspreid wordt, maar dan wordt er toch geld binnen gehaald door deze bands?
Misschien wordt er wel meer muziek gecopyeerd van bands die niet ingeschreven staan bij Buma Stemra. Waar gaat jullie verdiende geld dan heen? Ik hoop niet naar Britney Spears?
Ik hoorde laatst van een vriend dat hij mijn muziek op zijn MP3speler had gezet. Ik ben niet ingeschreven bij Buma Stemra of iets dergelijks, want dat is te duur. Is er een mogelijkheid dat ik toch geld ontvang van hetgene wat jullie binnenhalen?
